The Mojito



The mojito was born in Havana, Cuba. There are many variations of the drink. If you are throwing a Havana or Cuban theme party, plan on serving these fashionable yet traditional mojitos.It'll go pretty well

Ingredients for the Mojito
  • Mint leaves
  • Lime
  • Powdered sugar
  • White rum
  • Club soda
  • Sprig of mint
  • Crushed ice
Quantities For One Glass
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 1 lime (for juicing)
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 2 oz club soda
  • 1 sprig of mint for garnishing
Preparation
  • Put mint leaves in a Collins glass and squeeze lime juice over them
  • Add powdered sugar and then muddle(combine ingredients with a muddler) the mint,lime juice and sugar together
  • Add crushed ice
  • Stir in the rum and top off with club soda
  • Garnish with a mint sprig
  • Serve
